Lagunitas Daytime IPA is a lower carb and lower calorie craft beer. It is made by California based Lagunitas Brewing Company, founded in 1993, which is now a subsidiary of Heineken International. It’s intended to be a truly sessionable IPA at only 4% ABV, but it’s not your typical light beer.

Lagunitas Daytime IPA is made using a special brewing process that dries out the beer, reducing the calorie count.. This creates a gentle canvas that is then splashed full of hops, including plenty of centennial and citra hops. of centennial, citrus. The beer is then beefed up by using oats in the brewing process.

A Brewery With a Social Conscience
Lagunitas Brewing Company has a social conscience, and aims to turn beer into money for the community. For example, when a firestorm disaster hit Sonoma County in 2017 near the original home place of the brewery, Lagunitas contributed $220,000 in cash donations. Along with cash, they also offered refrigerated trucks to Redwood Empire Food Bank to bring food to the areas needed, sent staff to volunteer at nonprofits and various areas of need throughout the community, and sent kegs of water to a local safari park for the animals.
